Lisa, Founder

Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Certified Eating Disorder Specialist 

 

Lisa Bargellini is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) based in Westchester, New York. Lisa also holds a license in Pennsylvania to provide virtual sessions. Lisa previously worked at Johns Hopkins Bayview, Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Renfrew Center, and Metro Behavioral Health Associates. Lisa was also part of a multidisciplinary practice in Manhattan providing targeted DBT to individuals.

Additionally, Lisa served on the board as the student liaison for International Association for Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp) New York Chapter. Lisa has presented on eating disorders at Fordham University, local high schools, and private practices.  Lisa completed a two-year post-graduate training with Westchester Center for Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychodynamics. Lisa has also completed training through the Beck Institute for cognitive behavior therapy.

Lisa offers a range of specialized mental health services to individuals navigating difficult life experiences. With extensive experience in treating eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and borderline personality disorder, she is dedicated to supporting her clients in overcoming their challenges. In addition, Lisa provides clinical supervision to fellow professionals.

Lisa is deeply committed to the collaborative process with her clients, finding great fulfillment in helping them achieve personal growth and move beyond obstacles that may be holding them back.

Nicole, Associate

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist 
Psychotherapist 

 

Nicole Karwashan, MA, LMFT (she, her, hers) is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who specializes in working with adolescents and young adults suffering from eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Nicole completed her graduate studies at Fairfield University and went on to work in eating disorder residential and day treatment centers. 

 

Nicole uses a systemic approach and has completed a specialized training with the Narrative Therapy Institute. Nicole is also experienced in cognitive processing therapy (CPT,) a specialized treatment for PTSD and feeling “stuck” in thoughts around trauma. Nicole integrates dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) tools as well. 

 

In addition to working with a wide range of situations including relational therapy, individual counseling and supporting young adults, Nicole takes great pride in working with individuals who are struggling with an eating disorder.

Rebecca, Associate

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Rebecca Gonley, zlMHC, MS., CASAC, is a therapist that specializes in work with adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, substance use, and depression. She follows a cognitive behavioral approach (CBT) and encourages families to be part of the treatment process. Rebecca is licensed in NY and CT. 

 

Rebecca completed her graduate studies at Mercy College in NYC and continued on to work as a clinical team leader at an eating disorder treatment center in both the day and intensive outpatient programs. 

 

Rebecca is passionate about advocating for stronger mental health access, eliminating the stigma surrounding receiving treatment and supporting those recovering from eating disorders.

Mara, Associate

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Mara Kline (LMHC) is a therapist who specializes in treating adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, trauma, grief, OCD, ADHD, and depression.  She uses a trauma-informed approach to therapy that integrates dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy, and harm reduction.

 

Mara completed her graduate studies at Adler University in Chicago, IL.  She has worked for the Vera Institute of Justice in New York City as an advocate for severely mentally ill adults and The Renfrew Center of New York providing individual and group therapy in both the partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP).  Mara has received training from Columbia University’s Center for Prolonged Grief to help people who feel stuck after the loss of a loved one. 

 

Mara is passionate about helping people work with their brains to achieve sustainable long-term recovery.
